Each weekend, when there's a full fixture list for the Premier League and/or Championship, every player will select one team.
Premier League and/or Championship full fixture list. Typically Friday to Monday.
Once you've selected a team, you cannot pick them again for the rest of the season.
Selections must be submitted before the first game of the round kicks off (typically 8 PM on Friday) via the Whatsapp Chat.
Your selected team's result is your score for the week.
Win: 3 points
Draw: 1 point
Loss: 0 points
Your team's goal difference is also added to your total goal difference.
Goal difference will be used as a tie-breaker at the end of the season.
If your team wins by a margin of 3 or 4 goals, you earn a bonus point for that week.
If your team loses by a margin of 3 or 4 goals, you get a -1 point penalty. This doubles with a 5 or more goal margin.
Win by 3-4: +1
Win by ≥ 5: +2
Lose by 3-4: -2
Lose by ≥5: -2
Each player gets two Jokers to use throughout the season. When you play a Joker, your points for that week are doubled.
Must be announced before the first match of the weekend. this allows players to earn a Maximum of 10 points, but also a Minimum of -4 points (with bonus/penalty point).
The two occasions non-weekend rounds are in play is during the congested Christmas and Easter fixture period.
this Adds an extra layer of challenge and excitement at these stages of the season.
If a player miss the deadline for a selection, you will automatically be assigned the first team alphabetically that you haven't used yet that is playing that round (e.g., AFC Bournemouth).
If your selected fixture is postponed after the deadline, your pick still stands. You will get the points for that game when it is eventually played. This will not impact selections of future rounds.
Abandoned fixtures are classified as postponed if the fixture is to be replayed at a later date.
If only one division is playing a given round and a player has no remaining teams in that division to select, they must forfeit a team from the non-playing division and will automatically incur a 0-5 loss (-2 points).
E.g. a Championship only week and a player only has Premier League teams remain for selection.
